The New York Islanders announced on Thursday that Thomas Hickey has agreed to terms on a two-year deal.
Hickey, 24, made his NHL debut last season with the Islanders scoring four points (one goal, three assists) with a plus-9 rating in 39 games. The Calgary, AB, native also made his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut with the franchise, appearing in two games during the Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series.
The Los Angeles Kings selected Hickey in the first round (4th overall) of the 2007 NHL Draft. He was claimed off waivers by the Islanders on Jan. 15, 2013.
