Here are some notes for those fans getting ready to watch the New York Islanders (19-16-4) who are getting ready to host the Philadelphia Flyers (17-18-3) in NHL action at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
New York will be playing in their third-to-last home game of the 2012-13 season tonight against the Flyers. Thus far the season series is tied, as the Islanders are looking to continue their winning ways.

The Islanders topped the Tampa Bay Lightning by the score of 4-2 on Saturday in front of a rocking 16.170 at the Coliseum. Matt Martin broke a 2-2 tie with 6:26 remaining and Andrew MacDonald iced the game with an empty-netter to help lead the Islanders to victory.

New York has been able to record points in four-straight games (3-0-1) and are 6-1-1 in their last seven. They have also won three straight at home.
