Nets vs. 76ers 4/9/13

Here are some notes for those fans getting ready to watch the Brooklyn Nets (44-32) play host to the Philadelphia 76ers (31-45) in NBA action tonight in the Barclays Center.

If the Nets win it would clinch the season series with Philadelphia (3-1), while also making them 10-4 in the Atlantic Division this season. A victory would also give them their 45th victory of the season, which would be the most since the 2005-06 season.

Nets Recap:

Brooklyn was able to sweep the season series from Charlotte with their 105-96 victory on 4/6. Brooklyn surpassed the 100 point mark for the eighth time in the past 12 games, holding a 7-1 mark in such contests.

Breaking it down by Month:

If Brooklyn can finish April with a winning record (currently 2-1 with six games remaining) it would be the fifth winning month (out of six) this season and be the first time the franchise has five winning months in the same season since 2002-03. The Nets had five winning months in the five previous seasons combined.

Reggie the Rebounding Machine:

Reggie Evans grabbed 20 rebounds in the game against the Bobcats on 4/6, which was his league-leading 8th 20-plus rebounding performance of the season. Evans has been able to record for a third (six of the top 18) individual rebounding performances in the league this season.

Nets Milestones to watch for:

Deron Williams is one three-pointer from 800

Brook Lopez is 10 offensive rebounds away from 900 and 28 assists away from 500

MarShon Brooks is 17 steals away from 100

Andray Blatche is 20 assists from 700

The Nets and the 76ers game is set to air on the WWOR My9 network, with tip-off slated for 7:30 p.m.
