Even though they suffered their first loss of the Traverse City Tournament, the New York Rangers prospects are heading to the championship game on Wednesday night. The Blueshirt youngsters fell for the first time to the Carolina Hurricanes 4-3 in overtime on Tuesday hockey action.
Keeper Jason Missiaen, who had played brilliantly in the cage for the Rangers, suffered the tough loss-after making 38 saves in the loss. Jonathan Audy-Marchessault and Shane McColgan each recorded their second goal for the Rangers, while Christian Thomas tallied a goal and assist.
The Blueshirts will face the Buffalo Sabers prospects in the championship game, with the face off slated for 7:00 p.m.
