One day after signing forward John Tavares, the New York Islanders continue to forge their offensive line by inking Josh Bailey with a two-year contract.
Bailey was selected 9th overall by the Islanders in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, notched his first goal with the team on October 11 vs. the New York Rangers Since then the 21-year-old has recorded 28 points (11 goals and 17 assists) in 70 games last year.
The Bowmanville, Ontario native has recorded 34 goals thus far with the team and 54 assists (88 Points) in 211 games on the Island.
Josh is known for his to have a nice touch around the net, as the forward has had three point games (two goals and one assist on December 23 at New Jersey. Bailey also had a four-game point streak from Feb. 11-17.
