Liberty need a rally at The Rock to keep postseason hopes alive

The New York Liberty fell in the final seconds of play to the Indiana Fever by a final of 74-72 in the opening round of the playoffs on Thursday night.  For Indiana defense was the key, as the Fever had normally clutch Cappie Pondexter tied up enough to miss a three-point shot.

Now the only way for the Liberty to keep their playoff hopes alive, is for the ladies to have a rally in their home court at the Prudential Center aka The Rock. Pondexter continues her fine playoff scoring touch against Indiana; as the guard has now scored at least in 20 consecutive postseason games.

Nicole Powell added 12 points, along with another 10 from Kia VaughnPlenette Pierson had three steals in the game.

A win by New York would give fans a very exciting and decisive Game Three-which will be held in Indiana on Monday night.
