With the theme of Pitchside Pups in play for Friday, May 24 the Washington Sprit are looking to continue their fine play at Audi Field with a match against the Seattle Reign at 7:30 p.m.
After a memorable 4-2 victory against Angel City FC, as the Spirit scored three goals in less than seven minutes. Thus far the franchise has seven victories and are matching the totals that they had from last year.
Because of the play on the pitch the Spirit are in third place (21 points) in the NWSL standings and are three away from being in First.
It is going to be a tough test against Seattle though, as the last time these two teams met, the Spirit lost by the score of 1-0.
Overall, the Spirit have a 8-12-7 regular season record against the Reign, while having a 2-0-2 record at Audi Field.
Croix Bethune and Ouleye Sarr are just two to watch for in the match on Friday. Bethune owns a Spirit single season assist record along with the NWSL record for rookie assists, while becoming the only player in NWSL history to log seven assists in a five-game span.
