New York City FC II (5-3-1) had themselves a quick turnaround in hosting Toronto FC II and FC Cincinnati 2 on Thursday and Sunday.
The guys responded positively to the quick turnaround, as they quickly and frequently attacked the FC Cininnati 2 net and eventually wound up the night with the huge three points via a 2-1 victory.

NYCFC II got their first attempt at the 5′ when Jack Beer got himself a left footed shoot that was saved by FC Cincinnati 2 Keeper Paul Walters. Then minutes later Beer and his hustle got rewarded with this first goal of the game via a right footed shot at the 7′.

FC Cincinnati 2 showed great heart, and got themselves opportunities, the first came at the 8′ when Benjamin Stitz blasted a left footed shot from the center of the field that got saved by NYCFC II Keeper Alexander Yagudayev.
There was a ton of ball possession by both teams, as they sprinted up and down the field to see who would get the next attempt on the net.

It was around the 20′ that Jonathan Jiménez attempted a laser of a right footed shot that was saved. NYCFC II continued their momentum at the 26′ Piero Elias tried for an attempt that just missed the cage.
Jiménez showed off some impressive moves throughout the match, and in addition to that showed off a fine display of shooting as he had an attempt that was saved at the 38′.
With the teams heading into the Half with the host leading 1-0, as they came out of the locker to start the second one could tell there was more urgency seen on the side of FC Cincinnati 2 to try to find the equalizer.
With fans at Belson Stadium oohing and ahhing with every attempt that was made, it was NYCFC II that was able to increase their lead on a goal by Massimo Murania Yankowitz, as he headed an assist by Beer.
FC Cincinnati 2 was not out of the match yet though as a goal by Stitz at the 78′ got the fans in attendance starting to bite their nails with nerves and anticipation of what may happen next.
After that it was a ton of physical and intense play, it was NYCFC II and their stellar team play that wrapped up the win and the three points in victory.
Up next for NYCFC II they head to Joe Davis Stadium to take on Huntsville in MLS NEXT Pro action. The start of the match between these two squads is set for 7:00 p.m.
