During the course of the College Hoops season, one of the more impressive performances came from Khalid Moore, who was named to the 2023 Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball All-Championship Team. That honor was annouced following the championship game at the Barclays Center.

Moore is the first Fordham University athlete to earn the All-Championship honors since Bryant Dunston in 2006.
It was during the Championship run that Moore impressed many in the world of College Sports, as the forward was able to average 22.0 ppg and 9.0 rpg in the first two games of the championship. In addition Khalid was able to have a .500 (15-30) shooting performance from the field, along with a .455 (5-11) from behind the arc.

He was able to score 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, which was his fifth double-double of the year. During the quarterfinal victory over LaSalle, Moore helped the Rams advance to their first semis game since 2006.

Thus far in the season Moore was able to average 15.8 ppg, which ranks as second on the team, along with a team-best 6.7 rpg. He was also ranked ninth in the Atlantic 10 in scoring and eighth in rebounding. Moore was able to shoot .487 (175-359) from the field, which ranks for sixth in the conference.

Fordham had themselves an outstanding season, as they had a 25-8 record, which is the most wins since the 1990-1991 team who won 25 games. The 25 victories that Fordham had is one shy of the school record that was set by the 1970-1971 team. In addition, during the course of the 2023 season, the Rams were able to finish the Atlantic 10 Conference with a 12-6 record, which tied them for second, along with being seeded third for the conference championship. This was Fordham’s best finish along with the highest seeding since joining the conference in the 1995-1996 seasons.
