New York City will be painted Orange and Blue thanks to the New York Mets and their first-ever Amazin’ Day that will be happening on March 25. Those fans who wear a Mets hat or any Met gear will be granted to seveal events at iconic New York institutions, community-focused events and giveaways.
The Mets are dedicated to creating the best fan experience in sports, and on that day, fans will have an opportunity to win exclusive ticketed events and enter the Amazin’ Day Sweepstakes to win the ultimate grand prize.
“The Mets are entering a new era; with great baseball and so much more,” said Andy Goldberg, Mets EVP & Chief Marketing Officer. “Amazin’ Day is a demonstration of that philosophy, giving people across the city a chance to experience different aspects of New York and be ‘amazed’ on behalf of the Mets. We look forward to bringing the Mets’ infectious energy to the streets of New York City and surprising and delighting fans with pop-ups and giveaways, free access to some of the city’s most iconic venues, and opportunities to give back.”

One of the things the franchise takes pride in is their involvement in the community and the Amazin’ Mets Foundation provided more than $5 Millon in grants to local nonprofits that provide opportunities to children, families and underserved groups in the neighborhoods. On March 25 fans will have an opportunity to be a part of the community related events that the team will have on that day.
There will be a ton of exciting events that will feature several Mets alumni along with Mr. and Mrs. Met on that day that includes:
A pop-up animal adoption event with the North Shore Animal League America at Wolman Rink
A Diamond Takeover youth baseball game at NYC Parks’ Flushing Meadows Corona Park, at that location the Mets will donate gear to the local teams and announce a grant to renovate the field.
A distribution of Mets co-branded, limited-edition library cars with the Queens Public Library
In addition, anyone wearing a Mets hat on that day may have a surprise coming on that day, as official Mets reps will be passing along swag. In addition, participating Coca-Cola restaurants will give away free Coke products. In addition, the Dunkin’ Jeep will be driving around sharing gift cards on that day.
Fans should also keep an eye out on the Amazin’ Day Merch Pop-Ups throughout Manhattan and Queens, as there will be reps handing out free Amazin’ Day Mets hats and gear.
Lastly there will be an Amazin’ Day Sweepstakes that fans can enter that will allow the true faithful unprecedent access to Citi Field. That includes throwing out the first pitch, meeting the player during batting practice, receiving premium tickets and more.
