PREVIEW: Buffalo Sabres vs New York Rangers

The Buffalo Sabres are on the road to take on the New York Rangers in NHL action on Sunday. This will be the seventh of eight meetings between the Sabres and Rangers this season, with the Sabres defeating the Blueshirts 3-2 in a shootout thriller on April.

Buffalo holds a 3-5-2 mark in the last 10 games against the Rangers, while also having a 3-7-0 record on the road. This will be the 192nd game between these two rivals, as the Sabres have a 85-69-37 record.

Sam Reinhart has been playing well for the Sabres during the month of April, as he has been able to tally 11 points in 13 games. Reinhart is tied for the team lead in goals. Dylan Cozens has seven assists in the last eight games dating back to April 11. Casey Mittelstadt has been able to record 11 points in the last 14 games.

Reinhart is one of the Sabres leaders when it comes time to playing the Rangers, as he has six points in six games against the Blueshirts. Also leading the way for Buffalo has been Victor Olofsson, who has five points in six contests.

There will be some milestones to watch for the Sabers as Rasmus Ristolainen is one goal away from 47 career goals, which is tied for seventh in franchise history.
