The Buffalo Sabres were able to make a big move in bolstering the team prior to the upcoming game against the Boston Bruins on Tuesday.
It was announced that the team has acquired forward Anders Bjork and a second-round 2021 NHL Draft Pick from the Boston Bruins in exchange for forwards Taylor Hall and Curtis Lazar.
Bjork has totaled five points in 30 games this season while he was with the Bruins and was named to the Hobey Baker Top 10 after his junior season at the University of Notre Dame.
When it comes time for the series between the Sabres and Bruins this will be the third of eight meetings between these two teams. In the last meeting the Bruins were able to edge the Sabres 3-2 in Boston on March 27.
The Sabres hold a 2-7-1 in the last 10 games against the Bruins: while also holding a 3-6-1 mark on the road. This will be the 299th game all-time between these two rivals, as the Sabres hold a 57-76-21 on the road against the Bruins.
Leading the way for the Sabres has been Sam Reinhart, who is tied for third in the NHL with 11 road goals this season. Reinhart has six points in the last eight games against the Bruins. Rasmus Ristolainen has five points in the last six games against the Bruins.
The game between the Sabres and Bruins is set for 7:00 p.m. with fans wanting to catch the action can do so on the MSG-B network.
