Preview: Buffalo Sabres set to take on Philadelphia Flyers

The Buffalo Sabres are set to take on the Philadelphia Flyers in NHL action on Saturday afternoon at KeyBank Center.

This will be the third of eight meetings between these two rivals, with the Flyers skating to a 3-0 victory in Philadelphia on January 19.

Buffalo holds a 3-7-0 mark in the last 10 games vs the Flyers, while also holding a 5-5-0 mark at KeyBank Center. This will be the 184th game between these teams, with the Sabres having a 70-89-24 series record.

There is a potential for a milestone moment for the Sabres, as Curtis Lazar is expected to play in his 300th NHL game. Players to watch for on the Sabres are Taylor Hall who has 27 points in 22 career games. Eric Staal has been able to record a point-per-game player against the Flyers, and Jack Eichel has been able to record 14 points.

The team skated in practice yesterday and not skating in that practice was Eichel and Linus Ullmark, who are both recovering from injury.

One of the keys for the Sabres success has been their faceoffs, as the team currently ranks third in the NHL with a team percentage of 53.9.

The game between the Sabres and Flyers is set for 1:00 p.m. with fans wanting to see the action can do so by checking out the ESPN Plus Network.
