Washington Spirit Renew Sponsorship Deal with PEPCO

The Washington Spirit and Pepco are proud to announce the renewal of their sponsorship agreement for 2021.

As part of the sponsorship, Pepco will be the presenting sponsor for a panel discussion on diversity, racial inequality and social justice. Additionally, the two organizations will work together with the Spirit’s community partners on projects and initiatives that will make a positive impact in the Washington, D.C. area. Lastly, Spirit players will appear via video or in person for Pepco’s community initiatives throughout the year.

Gretchen Hamm, Chief Growth Officer for the Spirit, said the following about the partnership renewal: “We are delighted to have PEPCO return as a key sponsor for 2021. Their commitment to the community, values and goals align with the Washington Spirit beautifully.”

“We are excited to partner once again with the Washington Spirit, with a focus this year on advancing the important and ongoing dialogue of equity, inclusion, economic opportunity and social justice in the District of Columbia,” said Mellanie K. Lassiter, senior manager of Corporate Relations for Pepco Holdings. “We celebrate diversity in all forms and challenge ourselves every day to figure out how Pepco can work with partners like the Spirit to give back to our neighbors and make a positive impact in our communities.”

Pepco is a unit of Exelon Corporation (Nasdaq: EXC), the nation’s leading energy provider, with approximately 10 million customers. Pepco provides safe and reliable energy service to approximately 894,000 customers in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
