The Fordham University Women’s Basketball team will look to extend their winning streak to four games, as the team hosts Rhode Island on Sunday (today) in a game that is set for 2:00 p.m.
In the ladies last game against Davidson, the team were able to outscore the Wildcats 40-21 in the middle periods to earn a victory. Helping to lead the way in scoring was Anna DeWolfe, who matched a conference career-high of 27 points, while Kendell Heremaia, earned her second straight A-10 Player of the Week honors with a 20-point, 11 rebound performance.
Fordham will look to complete a season sweep of the Rhode Island Rams today, after winning on the road about a month ago by a final score of 65-58. Since 1981, Fordham holds a 21-19 advantage over Rhode Island.
In the nine wins that Fordham has been able to record, the team has been able to outshoot their opponents 66.3-51.3. Fordham has a 43.3% from the floor as a group and a 40.7% from beyond the arc.
The Fordham defense has been playing well, holding opponents to marks of 35.1% and 29.9.
After the contest today the Rams will remain at Rose Hill Gym where they will host Saint Joseph’s and La Salle Next weekend.
