The Brooklyn Cyclones completed a three-game sweep of the Staten Island Yankees in a double header at MCU Park on July 26.

Brooklyn earned the Game 1 victory by a final of  2-1, as  Colby Woodmansee led the offense with his Two RBIs in the game. On the mound for the Cyclones was starter Erik Manoah, who went 6.0 Innings.

In Game Two things were a bit tighter between these two rivals, in the end the Cyclones earned a huge Extra Inning victory by a final of  3-2.

With the pair of wins Brooklyn improved to 19-19, moving back to the .500 mark for the first time since July 13th.

Leading the way for the offense in Game Two was Nick Sergakis, who went 3-for-3 while also driving in a run. Raul Jacobson had a strong outing in his first game with Brooklyn, tossing 5.0 innings, allowing a pair of hits while striking out four.

It was revealed to both Jacobson and the media that the Right Handed Pitcher got the call to Columbia, who are the Single A Afflilate of the New York Mets after the game. All fans are encouraged to keep an eye out for Raul as he makes his way through the Minor League System.

After a league wide off day on Wednesday, the Cyclones will head to Burlington, VT to take on the Lake Monsters in a three-game set before returning to MCU Park on Sunday to open a three-game series with the Aberdeen IronBirds.
