Providence Defeats Miami in Brooklyn Hoops Holiday Invitational

The Providence College Men’s Basketball team (10-3) defeated the University of Miami (9-3) by a final score of 76-62 in the Brooklyn Hoops Holiday Invitational Hosted by the Barclays Center.

Sophomore Guard Kris Dunn (New London, Conn.) notched his third double-double of his career and the season, scoring 15 points adding a game-high 13 assists and five rebounds.  Senior forward LaDontae Henton (Lansing, Mich.) had a game-high 25 points and grabbed five boards.

Junior Tyler Harris (Dix Hills, N.Y.) and Senior Carson Desrosiers (Windham, N.H.) also scored in double-figures for the Friars. Harris finished the night with 13 points, while Desrosiers registered 12 points and a team-high seven rebounds.

Miami had three players finish in double-figure scoring as Angel Rodriguez led all with 19 points and four assist. Sheldon McClellan had 17 points, and Tonye Jekiri had a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards.
