Here are some notes for those fans who are getting ready to watch Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinal series between the New York Rangers and the Boston Bruins. The Rangers trail the series 3 games to 0.

Rangers Recap:

In what was a close and intense game the Blueshirts fell to the Bruins by the score of 2-1 in Game 3 on May 21. Boston tallied two goals in the third period of play to take a 3-0 series lead. Henrik Lundqvist made 32 saves in the cage for New York.

The loss ended New York’s nine-game winning streak at home, which dates back to March 24 against Washington. New York holds a 40-32 record all-time in Game 4s.

Lack of Power:

If the Rangers were to mount a comeback they will need some help from the power pla. New York did not tally a power play goal in two opportunities (4:00) in Game 3 and are now 2-38 (5.3%) in the playoffs. New York is 0-2 in five-on-three situations.

Game Four between the Rangers and the Bruins will air on the NBC Network, with face-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
