Jets sign Dimke and Quigley

The New York Jets announced on Friday that they have signed Derek Dimke and Ryan Quigley.

Dimke entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Detroit Lions (5/10/12), spent the preseason with the team before being waived. The kicker appeared in three preseason games for Detroit and knocked in both his field goal attempts.

The Rockford, IL-native finished his college career as Illinois’ all-time leader in field goal and PAT accuracy, converting on 39-of-46 field goal attempts and hitting all 89 of his extra points tries.

Quigley, meanwhile, joined the NFL after he signed with Chicago as an undrafted free agent 5/13/12). The Little River, SC-native had four preseason games in 2012 punting 16 times for a 41.4 average. As a senior at Boston College in 2011, he finished fourth in the nation with 28 punts downed inside the 20.
