Here are some notes for those fans getting ready to watch the Brooklyn Nets (46-32) who are on the road getting ready to take on the Indiana Pacers (49-29) in NBA action tonight.
If the Nets were to gain a victory tonight it would help them sweep the season series with the Pacers (3-0) for the first time since the 2006-07 season, while also helping the team clinch their fifth winning month of the season-which is the first time Brooklyn has had five winning months in the same season since the 2002-03 season.
A victory tonight would also give Brooklyn their 47th win of the season, which would be the most in a season since the ’05-’06 season. The Nets can also help move PJ Carlesimo to 33-18 as Interim Head Coach, which would be the best start for a coach in franchise history.
Nets Recap:
Brooklyn’s Big Three, Deron Williams, Brook Lopez and Joe Johnson all scored 20 or more points for the third time this season-combining for 70 points in the Nets’ 101-93 victory over the Boston Celtics on 4/10.
Nets success on the Road:
The Nets have set a franchise record with 22 road victories so far this season, which passes the franchise mark of 20 set in the ’05-’06 season. With 22 road victories, the Nets assured themselves of a winning road record for the first time since joining the NBA in 1976.
Brook Coming up Big:
In his inaugural All-Star campaign, Brook Lopez is the only player in the NBA averaging at least 19 points, seven rebounds and two blocks-per-game. The fifth-year player currently ranks fourth in the NBA with a 24.9 player efficiency rating.
