Nets vs. Bulls 4/4/13

Here are some notes for those fans getting ready to watch the Brooklyn Nets (43-31) who are playing host to the Chicago Bulls (40-33) in NBA action tonight at the Barclays Center.

If the Nets win it would split the season series (2-2) against Chicago, while also preventing a two-game losing streak to the Bulls. A victory would also give Brooklyn a 17-5 mark at the Barclays Center, while also giving the team their 44th victory of the season. The 44 victories would be the most wins in a season since the 05-06 season when they finished with 49 wins on the year.

Nets Recap:

The Nets were able to set a franchise record with the most road-victories in a season at 21, with their 113-95 win over Cleveland on 4/3. MarShon Brooks got his first start of the season and set career-highs in points, 27, field-goals made 12, and tied a career-high with seven assists. Also having a monster night was Reggie Evans by grabbing 18 boards in the game.

Scoring 100:

With their 113-95 victory in Cleveland the Nets have now scored 100 points for the seventh time in their last 10 games and are 6-1 in those contests. Brooklyn is also 9-0 when scoring 113-plus points in a game and are 20-4 on the season when they score 100 or more points in a game.

All-Time Series vs. The Bulls:

The Nets have a 67-81 overall record against the Bulls, with their biggest victory at home happening on 2/1/13, which was a 93-89 decision.

Nets Milestones in sight:

Andray Blatche is 20 assist from 700

MarShon Brooks is 19 steals away from 100 and is one assist away from 200

Brook Lopez is 14 offensive rebounds away from 900 and 29 assists away from 500

Deron Williams is five threes away from 800

The Nets and the Bulls game is slated to air on the TNT Network, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
