NFL Announces Jets Preseason Schedule

The New York Jets will open the 2012 preseason schedule with a game at Detroit, as was announced by the NFL on Thursday. After that the Jets will have three preseason games at MetLife Stadium. They will host Jacksonville before battling it out with the Giants and finish things off against the Eagles on Thursday, August 29.

New York will face the Lions for the fifth time in the preseason, while the Jaguars and Eagles will be bringing their new head coaching staff to MetLife Stadium.

The Jets and Giants will compete in the third annual MetLife Bowl, which is currently tied 1-1. All times and some dates are to be determined.
