Here are some notes for those fans watching the New York Rangers (8-5-1) play host to the Montreal Canadiens (10-4-1) in NHL action at Madison Square Garden tonight.

The New York Rangers were able to defeat the Washington Capitals by a score of 2-1 on Sunday. Helping to lead the way offensively for the Blueshirts were Carl Hagelin and Derek Stephan. Henrik Lundqvist made 27 saves.
