The New York Rangers AHL affiliate Connecticut Whale has been able to record three victories, one loss and one overtime loss during the month of October. The Whale has a three-game winning streak, with victories over Albany, Hershey, and Providence.
Being named the first star in the victories over Albany and Hershey was Brandon Segal; thus far Segal is third on the Whale scoring leaders with four goals, two assists for a total of six total points. AHL rookie sensation Kyle Jean is second leading scorer on the Whale with four goals, five assists and nine total points.
Helping to lead the Whale in the cage for the last two victories was Cam Talbot, who had 37 saves in the victory over Providence.
The Whale are slated to be in action again on November 2 against the Albany Devils; though with Hurricane Sandy in the area there maybe the possibility of a cancelation of games this week.
