Down on the Farm: New York Islanders 10/29/12

The New York Islanders AHL affiliate Bridgeport Sound Tigers has been able to record two victories, one shootout victory and two losses during the month of October.

Most recently the Sound Tigers skated to a 5-2 loss to the Worcester Sharks on Saturday. Recording his first goal with the team was blueliner Jordan Hill, who had signed a tryout contract with the team on Saturday afternoon.

Also recording his first Sound Tigers goal in the loss was winger Colin McDonald. Leading the team in scoring thus far is Nino Niederreiter, who has four goals and two assist for a total of six points. Kevin Poulin has had a stellar season for Bridgeport having a 4-1 record thus far in the cage, making 149 saves with a 2.96 GAA.

Bridgeport will have a weekend homestand against Hershey and Wilkes-Barre Scranton this coming Saturday and Sunday. The Sound Tigers will first host Hershey on Saturday with puck drop slated for 7:00 p.m.
