Fans of man’s best friends and the New York Rangers are invited to join the team in ending animal abuse on September 9th in the franchise’s first annual Dog Walk. Slated to appear in the event will be Blueshirts head coach John Tortorella, as well as appearances by Ryan Callahan, Brad Richardsand other stars from the team.
All net proceeds will benefit the Westchester Humane Society and other organizations dedicated to promoting the humane treatment of animals, and fans signing on to the event will get a very special Q and A segment with the Rangers head coach, as well as an opportunity to adopt a new friend, as well as having the opportunity for obtaining some sweet giveaway items.
Registration for the Riverside Park, one mile event cost $100 per person/dog team, with an additional $25 per family member and $10 for each additional dog.
