The New York Islanders are always known for holding unique, once-in a-lifetime events for fans at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
Sunday, February 12, 2012 was no exception, as the franchise brought Marvel Day along with a very special Skate with the Greats events, thanks to cosponsors MET-Rx.
The Islanders Children’s Foundation was on hand to give fans a special treat on Sunday, as the ICF held a ‘Valentine’s Day’ Puck surprise. Fans had an opportunity to purchase specially packaged pucks for $20, with autographs from the guys on the team. Whoever bought a puck with a ‘gold’ autograph, had the opportunity to meet that player after the game. All of the proceeds from the ‘Valentine’s Day’ puck surprise went to the Islander’s Children Foundation.
