This is the Florida Panthers edition as the guys speak about a tough 4-1 loss on Sunday at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
Islanders goaltender Evgeni Nabokov (11 saves):
*On the team starting off strong and starting to lose momentum:
“I have no idea, I wish I had an answer, but I don’t. They (the Panthers) played a very good structured game-they had seven or eight scoring chances and scored four goals and that was a big difference in the game,” ‘Nabby’ continued to say, “After they scored on the power play it took the air out of us.”
Isles center John Tavares:
*On the loss:
“These games are so important this time of year, considering where we are in the standings, and there is no excuse for us not to be ready to play and have our feet moving and having our game going. We just have to improve in that area.”

Isles captain Mark Streit had his second night of strong hockey for New York, the blueliner helped to lead the team to the 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday. The captain tried everything in his power to rejuvenate his teammates, leading the rush, shooting the puck and using his speed, but it wasn’t enough to get the win.
“I feel pretty good today, just tried to create to set-up the plays, to shoot pucks….anything I can to get our team going,” Streit said.
*On what the team can do to rebound, Streit had this to say:
“We need to turn the page and focus on this next road trip, which will be a big one for us. There are two big challenges coming up, so we can’t hang our heads for too long.”
