Knicks look to make it two wins at home against the Bulls

The New York Knicks (8-13) will try to win the second straight game at Madison Square Garden, when they host the Chicago Bulls (18-6) in an 8:00 p.m. tip-off on Thursday. It will be a tough test for New York, as Derek Rose and company are currently siting in first place in the Central Division.

New York will look to propel themselves back to the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference with a three game in three night stretch. Looking to help lead the Knicks in that push is Carmelo Anthony returned to the line-up after a two-game absence to lead the offense with a game-high 25 points.

The Knicks need to take advantage of the banged-up Bulls, as Chicago is minus stars Luol Deng and Richard Hamilton.  The Bulls offense has only averaged 91 points-per-game in the last three outings, while New York was able to get a 27-point victory over the Pistons.

*Opposing player to watch for:

Derek Rose has been a thorn in the side of the Knicks for some time, as the guard has averaged 26.2 points on 54.1 percent shooting over his last six meetings in New York.

*Orange and Blue spotlight:

Landry Fields has had impressive showings against the Pistons (18 points), and the Heat (14 points) and while Amar’e Stoudemire is regaining his dominate ways in the low-post plays, recording double digits against the Rockets (23 points) and Pistons (16).
