Dan Girardi and Martin Biron have been stars for the New York Rangers on the ice, proved to be even more so off it, in a scavenger hunt event at the Museum of Natural History on Tuesday. Featuring 30 children from the Garden of Dreams foundation Girardi and Biron enjoyed exploring the museum in a rare day off for the Blueshirts.
Going from one wing to the other Girardi and Biron rotated between the groups of children to answer different trivia questions, at the end of the hunt the kids got to enjoy some quality time with the guys.
Helping to make the day possible was The Garden of Dreams Foundation, the non-profit group established in 2006, has been able to make many once-in-a-lifetime experiences like this one at other amazing venues…like Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, Fuse and the Beacon Theatre for more than 187,000 tri-state area children.
The Garden of Dreams Foundation, has been able to start such effors like surprise visits to local area hospitals, and coat, toy drive and Holiday parties featuring stars from the Rangers, Knicks and Liberty.
One of the biggest events for the Blueshirts and the Garden of Dreams Foundation, is the annual Casino Night, which is set to be held on Tuesday, February 28 2012 from 7-10 p.m. at Gotham Hall.
