There is a very good chance that the National Hockey League will be making a major announcement regarding the Winter Classic on Monday. That also so happens to be the day that the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers will clash in pre-season hockey action.

The NHL put a release on their official site today, teasing fans of a major press event at Citizens Bank Ballpark in Philly. As of now the only major event that will be happening in the league at that venue is the Winter Classic.

For fans interested the official press conference will start at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, and will be televised by the NHL Network, along with being streamed at NHL.com.
