There are a ton of exciting news for the Boys in Blue as things are getting closer and closer to the start of the 2025 Major League Soccer season.
The first bit of news from the guys was the fact that they were able to gain the first preseason victory of the year in a 3-1 decision against San Diego FC.
Leading the way in the victory was Alonso Martínez and Mounsef Bakrar, as the rest of the team played overall tremendously in terms of keeping the San Diego FC offense to the one goal.
Then the franchise announced the 2025 Leagues Cup Schedule as MLS is going to face the best of the best in terms of teams in the LIGA MX Clubs.
Starting on Tuesday, July 29 against LIGA MX Club, Club Puebla at the newly named Sports Illustrated Stadium in New Jersey.
The most recent news for the franchise was the announcement of the team’s new home kit that was made on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Aptly named ‘The Excelsior Kit,” New York City FC Celebrating 10 years of being able to establish a winning tradition in the great city of New York.
Getting back to the preseason play the schedule continues today (Feb 12) as the team takes on St. Louis City SC in the Coachella Valley Invitational with the match to be played at 6:00 p.m.
