The Boys in Blue of New York City FC are on a roll, as they followed up a victory against Metro Area rivals Red Bulls with a 3-1 comeback W against Chicag on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.
Things didn’t look good for NYCFC as Chicago claimed the early lead in the match as Phillip Zinckernagel scored the first goal and took the breath and the energy from the support group.

Regathering the energy and the love of the team, the chants resumed in an intense manner and that energy was felt by the squad and they were able to mount a comeback for a huge W.
It was after the Half that the guys were able to reward the faith of the NYCFC support group faithful as they saw goals by Mounsef Bakrar, Hannes Wolf, and Alonso Martínez.
Some fun facts from the folks at the NYCFC Department include the fact that Bakrar tallied the first goal of the 2025 Season.

Gaining an assist in the match was Justin Haak as he now has two in the last two matches.
Wolf got his name on the stat sheet in various forms with the game-winner and helping on the opening goal in the 58th minute. This is the first time that the Austrian had multiple goal contributions in a single match since March 29.
NYCFC as a team got to see the second comeback victory in the 2025 campaign, as they were able to have a thriller against New England on March 15.
While playing in front of the home faithful at Yankee Stadium, the Boys in Blue have a 3-2-0 record, and are hoping to improve on that mark when they host Houston on Mary 28.
That is the next time the guys are in action as they have a 7:30 p.m. tilt.
