As members of the New York Media all gathered on Zoom on Friday Morning, Gotham FC Head Coach Juan Carlos Amoros interacted with one and all to share his thoughts and perspective on how things were going to happen with this version of the squad.
Coach Amoros chatted on a wide range of topics from what it is for him and the team to be in Spain, for the team to have Midge Purce back with the squad and a whole lot more.
Some of the things he spoke in depth about is the return of Purce, as the balance Midge is walking is a delicate one. Purce, at one point in time having all the momentum in the world, having all that taken away by a devistating injury.
Now Purce is working hard to not only get back to Gotham FC for the 2025 season, but also Coach Juan and the rest of the training staff are wanting to ensure that Midge can stay healthy for the incredible career that is to come.
The rest of the topics that Coach Juan discussed was the development of the upcoming players at Gotham FC, on the team chemistry that they are building thus far.
Another topic that Coach Juan discussed in depth is the fact that the team is going to have world-class goalkeeper Michelle Betos joining the Coaching Ranks for the 2025 Season.
Coach Betos is going to be bringing a ton of incredible experience with her to this years Gotham FC squad and is helping to bring a new perspective to Coach Amoros. Having someone that just was on the field and played as a part of the Coaching staff is something that Juan was very energetic and enthuisatic about.
It was shortly after that the members of the media got to interact with the original OG Gotham FC player in Mandy Freeman, as the great news for fans and Mandy is that she is going to stay with the franchise for a while.
Those that got to be a part of the Zoom got to hear what Mandy had to say on her being able to be a part of the club and staying closer to home was to her. How special it is going to be for her to be able to play in front of her friends and family and to be a part of a franchise that is putting in the work and effort to be a world class one.
Mandy also discussed a wide range of other topics including the fact that Gotham FC is going to unveil a new kit for the 2025 season, as well as those that departed the franchise and the newer additions to this year’s squad.
