MLW Provides a Night of Thrills with Holiday Rush and One-Shot

Featuring a night of Dream matches and incredible moments the folks at Major League Wrestling came to New York City, and provided a night of Holiday Thrills.

In front of a packed Melrose Ballroom the folks at MLW started the night with the TV taping of Holiday Rush.

The night started with young guns Ariel Dominguez defeating D’Angelo in the match to get the fans going.

Janai Kai quickly defeated Tiffany Avatar in one of the fastest women’s matches seen to this day, as the Kick Demon lived up to her name.

After that Kai cut a promo on the God Queen Delmi Exo, as these ladies were on a collison course of meeting for the MLW World Women’s Featherweight Championship.

In a great bout Minoru Suzuki defeated Akira in one of two dream matches of the night. After that the night rolled along with the newly named Rouge Horsemen being introduced to the rowdy NYC crowd.

Trying to speak with boos and geers aimed toward him Brett Ryan Gosselin made it known to all that the Rouge Horsemen were going to be the stable to watch for in MLW in 2025 and beyond.

After that BRG went up against Matt Riddle in what was a close victory for the King of Bros. The odds were stacked against Riddle but somehow he was able to earn the victory.

It was around this moment that the Luchadors showed the NYC crowd what they were made of as Magnus took on Titan from the world famous CMLL company.

That in itself is going to be one to watch for and not only did the fans win but also did Titan as he made his name now known in the US.

In the other dream match of the night Tom Lawlor defeated Timothy Thatcher in a classic and one that hopefully all are going to give a view too, as that is going to be a classic.

Then for the MLW World Heavyweight Championship Satoshi Kojima defeated Ultimo Guerrero.

After that there was an intermission where the folks in attendance got to mingle and interact with some of the stars of the show.

With the countdown on to the much hyped about appearance by WWE HOFer Eric Bischoff within MLW, fans were all wondering what would happen next and how the rest of the show would go down.

Once One-Shot started, it did so in the best way possible by an apperance by the WWE HOFer himself with all the crowd giving a warm welcome to Bischoff.

The reaction from the MLW roster was a tad different, as the stars including company pillar Alex Kane encountered Eric as the night progressed.

Then Bischoff got to interact with the leader of the Contra Unit in Mads Krugger, the monsterous man tried to intimidate the promoter that was until Eric unveiled his master plan of having a match between Mads and Babathunder to get the night going.

It was an epic clash of the mosters almost akin to Godizilla and Mechagodzilla at the end it was Krugger picking up the victory.

Impressed with the fight shown by Babathunder, Krugger had an interesting idea for his fellow Giant, as it seemed as if Contra was looking for a new member. Without any hesitation Babthunder said yes and made the stable even more powerful then what they were.

From there it was the God Queen Delmi Exo taking on Ava Everett in one heck of a women’s bout. Everett put on an impressive performance, but nothing is stopping Exo as she ascends to the MLW Women’s Featherweight Championship.

It was after a victory that Exo cut a return promo on Kai stating that there would be a title versus Hair match that was later confirmed by MLW officials.

After the epic promo it was an incredible clash between Kane and Bobby Fish as they battled under UWFI rules. The two put on an instant classic in the dream match of MLW One Shot.

Kane wowed the crowd in NYC with a huge victory against Fish, showing why he is going to be a guy to watch for in MLW, and right after a triumph got some very bad news (to borrow a line from another company) from Eric Bischoff.

Bischoff wanting to see exactly how much he could do within the company deciding in the moment to have his Contoversy Creating Cash Moment of the night by firing MLW Pillar Kane right there on the spot.

That moment to this day talked about by fans of MLW, is going to be one that is going to be fascinating to see what happens next.

Kane is one of many that helped build MLW and got them to the point of where they are putting on incredible performances, so one has to wonder what is Alex and the Bomaye Fight Club do next to get back within the company.

After an interaction with Cesar Duran, Bischoff made a match between Trevor Lee and Mistico for the MLW World Middleweight Championship.

The stakes were high for Mistico as he could not only lose his Championship but also his identity in his luchador mask. Well the masked man would not let down Duran, the fans of MLW and the fans of Mexico by putting on a thriller against Lee in a tough fought bout.

Lee himself put on one heck of a performance and something tells this journalist that the match against Mistico is just the first of many for Championship belts within MLW.

Having to defend his spot for the MLW Championship belt it was Matt Riddle taking on Dijak. That in itself was a banger of a bout. After having to deal with Saint Laurent it was Riddle picking up the huge victory against Dijak.

With the fans in attendance getting all rowdy it was then time for a NYC street fight between The Andersons and Matthew Justice and Paul Walker Hauser. The Andersons showed why they are gong to be one of the top Tag Teams in MLW by putting together some classic combinations against the newly formed duo of Justice and Walter Hauser for the victory.

Then the epic clash between the Contra Unit and Cozymax continued as Cozymax looked to regain their Tag Team Championships. It was in Melrose Ballroom where the Tag Titles changed hands in the MLW Summer of Beasts event.

On this night with all of New York Supporting them and with the world watching it was Cozymax that were crowned And New Tag Team Champions. As the night concluded with the crowd all a buzz there was a scene at the end with Eric Bischoff talking to someone on the telephone making fans wonder if there was more of them seeing Eric within the company at future MLW events.

The folks at MLW are going to be next in action live as they head to Dallas, Texas for the Kings of Colosseum event that is to take place on January 11.
