Both squads attempted to score throughout the night, but the defensive play shown by both sides kept the other off the scoreboard.

There were a ton of stars on both sides of the pitch as well as some debuts. Jamaica had themselves a lineup of Jahmali Waite, Jon Bell, Jamoi Topey, Richard King, Javian Brown, Devon Williams, Ramone Howell, Tyreek Magee, Deshane Beckford, Demario Phillips and Romario Williams.

One of the names that is going to be known the most by those Vancouver Whitecaps fans is that of Javian Brown, as he also acts as a defender for the MLS Club.

Brown got selected by the Whitecaps with the team’s 23 overall pick at the 2021 MLS SuperDraft and is playing well with the squad there as well as during this style of play against Guatemala in the International Friendly.

Thanks to the support from the crowd the Guatemala National Team looked like the team that was going to win the match. Especially in the second half of play, as they were the team taking the most opportunities to score on the net.

Some of the most memorable moments in the Second Half came around the 46′ when Cardoza tried for a chance but was not able to find the back of the cage.

One of the many themes of the match is how physical the style of soccer was, as both squads wanted to maintain the possession of the ball.
