Competitive Draw at Red Bull Arena as Gotham FC and Racing Louisville Thrill Fans

It was one heck of a soccer match between Gotham FC and Racing Louisville, as the two NWSL clubs ended with a 0-0 Draw in a thrilling and emotional Day at Red Bull Arena on Sunday.

As both teams welcomed back roster members that were overseas and as a part of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, the fans in the Arena in Harrison rocked all match long as the ladies of both squads impressed with their play.

The first scoring opportunity started with Gotham FC as Katie Stengel busted out some video games moves and getting off a clean shot with the final moments ticking off the first half of play.

In Terms of Stats Gotham FC controlled 65 percent of possession, while doubling Racing Louisville FC Completed Passes (234-101).

When the Second Half started both squads continued their fine plays, as eventual Player of the Match Yazmeen Ryan struck the ball in the 49th minute that just tipped over the crossbar.

Then in an incredible sight around the 57th minute U.S. Women’s National Team Forward Lynn Williams entered into the match.

As a whole Gotham FC tallied 19 shots with five of them being on goal. Getting the start in the Goalkeeper position Haught secured a clean sheet in her regular season start of the 2023 campaign.

After the emotional day the ladies get to get some rest and training in prior to the team’s next match on September 2, as the team goes on the road to take on the North Carolina Courage at 7:30 p.m.
