Washington Mystics find Winning Ways in Washington D.C.

There is something about the Entertainment and Sports Arena that whenever the Washington Mystics (13-13) step on the floor the ladies elevate their game. Whenever the ladies are in a slump, they get back to their winning ways, and overall, the energy surrounding the team instantly resets itself.

In the latest bounce back win for the Mystics won the first of two against the Los Angeles Sparks, though by the narrowest of margins 79-77.

One of the best signs for the team is the fact that they had a well-rounded offensive unit, and the victory helped those who have been on the bench gain their confidence; something that is going to be clutch as the 2023 WNBA season progresses.

Starting off the fine performances for the Mystics is Tianna Hawkins, as she scored 17 points on 7-14 from the field and 2-6 from three in addition to five rebounds and a steal.

Milestone Maker Brittney Sykes scored eight points, eight assists, seven rebounds and four steals against the sparks. For Sykes this is her fourth consecutive game recording at least four steals, and that makes this the fifth time in WNBA history that a player has achieve this feat.

Sykes has 19 total steals in the last four games, which is the most steals over four games in Mystics history, here is the milestone as she surpassed Alana Beard (18) for the franchise record.
