Having resources available is one of the keys to the development for future talent, in order for them to become future stars youngsters needs the best when it comes time for the equipment they play with, with the uniforms that they wear, heck even the fields they play on.
The Amazin’ Mets Foundation played a huge role in ensuring the success of the hopeful future Mets, by making a $445,000 donation to fix Baseball Field #10 at Flushing Medows Corona Park. Literally just steps away from Citi Field.
Field #10 now has a new irrigation system, an added drainage system, and new fencing and concrete. The renovations have also ensured Baseball Field #10 is ADA compliant, all the best so that the kids that are going to play on that field can take their first steps in fulfilling their dreams.
With Amazin’ Mets Foundation President Alex Cohen in attendance along with political figures, on a beautiful day in Queens, New York the field in Corona Park looks new and improved thanks to the renovations that they were able to make.
