It has been an interesting test for the Brooklyn Cyclones as they had a seven-game road trip against the Wilmington Blue Rocks and the Hudson Valley Renegades.
When they went up against the Blue Rocks the guys saw victories in Games One and Four but saw very tough losses afterwards.
Highlights from the first game, came from the offensive hitting styles of Alex Ramirez and Stanley Consuegra as they logged two hits each. In addition, Chase Estep and Omar De Los Santos also recorded two hits.
On the mound Paul Gervase had a fine performance in relief as the righty struck out five batters in 2.1 Innings worked.
In the Fourth game, which was a close 2-1 victory for the Cyclones. The team saw fine hitting performances from William Lugo, Jaylen Palmer, Joe Suozzi along with Consuegra and Estep.
Cameron Foster had himself a strong start for Brooklyn, as he pitched 5.0 innings and recording six strikeouts.
Then after a well-earned day off the team went back on the road for a six-game road stretch against Hudson Valley.
Thus far the Cyclones are 1-1 against the Renegades, as the team dropped a tough 9-6 decision in Game One on Tuesday but picked up a 7-2 victory on Wednesday.
In the team’s victory on Lugo led the way at the plate with two hits and two runs scored. On the mound Blade Tidwell had an eight-strikeout performance for his first professional victory.
The series between the Cyclones and Renegades continues on Thursday, with the First Pitch set for 6:05 p.m.
It is going to be a battle of the righties as Cameron Foster (0-3, 6.20 ERA, 19 K) takes on Zach Messinger (0-1, 2.03 ERA, 38 K).
