Thus far the biggest trend that the guys on New York City FC has not been able to figure out as of yet is the fact that they have not been able to gain a victory on the road.
They have been able to play some stellar soccer in front of the fans at Yankee Stadium and at Citi Field, but whenever they are on the road somehow or the other they haven’t been able to self-correct themselves.
Fans of the club are encouraged to check out thoughts from Head Coach Nick Cushing by checking out the video below…..compliments of New York City FC:
Saturday night is going to be one of the toughest matches that the Boys in Blue have faced, as when they go up against Charlotte FC, they do so against a team that they have not been able to solve as of yet.
NYCFC fans are also encouraged to check out this video featuring Defender Kevin O’Toole –as he talks about the team’s defense , the group staying together and lots more…video is compliments of New York City FC:
New York City FC and Charlotte have faced against the other three times, and in all of those meetings, it is Charlotte that turned out to have the better team.
In terms of stats, New York City FC has more shots on goals (10.8-11.5), shots on goal (3.3-3.9) total passes (454.3-484.6), as well as in many other statistical categories.
Charlotte has won many statistical battels on their side of the pitch though, as they have more possessions (54%-53%) and saves (3.9-2.9).
One of the biggest keys for New York City FC is how can they adjust during the course of the match. How to start the match on the note that they want, and if somehow Charlotte gains the momentum to turn the tide in their favor.
Fans are just only a few hours away to see how all the action can unfold, as New York City FC takes on Charlotte FC in MLS action at Bank of America Stadium. Kick-off is set for 7:39 p.m.
