New York City FC II faces tough defeat against Crown Legacy FC

On a rainy day in Queens, New York New York City FC fell to Crown Legacy FC by a final of 4-1 in MLS NEXT action on April 30.


It is very early on in the NYCFC II season and in the good news department, this is the guys second loss as thus far they have played very well.


NYCFC II Head Coach Matt Pilkington made three changes in the lineup to the backline, though one does wonder if the rain and the challenging conditions may have provided a challenge for both clubs.


Crown Legacy FC had been able to adapt to the weather quicker as goals from Nikola Petkovic, luri Tavares, Nuno Santos and Josué Rodrigues all clinched the three points for the visiting side.


New York City FC II get another crack of getting a victory in front of their loyal fans at Belson Stadium, as they host the New England Revolution II for the second time this season.


In the team’s last meeting New England Revolution II were lifted to a 2-1 victory thanks to goals from Jordan Adebayo-Smith and Esmir Bajraktarevic.


As for New York City FC II a goal by Johnny Denis in the 43rd minute got the team in the game.


Can the guys rebound from not only that performance, but also their most recent match against Crown Legacy FC.
