It is going to be great for the Brooklyn Cyclones to return to the friendly confines of Maimonides Park, after what was a rainy road trip to the Jersey Shore.

The guys were able to get two of the six games in with the BlueClaws, prior to the bad weather entering into the metropolitan area and washing out the rest of the series.

Things had started off on a rough note for the Cyclones as they lost the first two games by score of 7-4 and 3-2.

Some of the stars of the game included, Stanley Consuegra had a three-run blast in the third inning, Kevin Parada laced two hits in the night and pitcher Blade Tidwell sat down six batters.

Then in the second game Jaylen Palmer had himself a heck of an offensive showing, recording three hits that included a double and triple. Starter Cameron Foster had a fine performance in striking out six batters.

The third game was a nail-biter for the Cyclones, as the guys ended the night with the 4-3 victory. Consuegra and Alex Ramirez had themselves fine day at the plate as they both had two hits each. Joander Suarez had a strong showing on the mound as he was able to strike out five batters.

After that the rain hit the Metropolitan area, washing out not only the Cyclones but also a ton of other events that were slated for the next few days.

Now the guys are going to get a chance to return to Maimonides Park as they host the Aberdeen IronBirds for a six-game homestand.

It is going to be an epic series as the IronBirds have some top prospects to watch for in the Baltimore Orioles system. The top prospect in Jackson Holliday is now on the team after getting a promotion with the Delmarva Shorebirds.

Jackson comes from a baseball family, as he is the son of seven-time All-Star Matt Holliday. Thus far Jackson is making waves in his own way having an impressive 2023 Spring Training, posting a .297/.489.422 in the games that he played. In addition to having a great bat thus far the infielder has made several impressive defensive plays that has impressed many who are following his career with a keen eye.

In addition to Holliday the IronBirds also boast a roster of outfielder Dylan Beavers, Max Wagner, Jud Fabian and Frederick Benscome.

One of the other intriguing storylines for the IronBirds is that of catcher Silas Ardoin, who also has a family pedigree in baseball. His father Danny Ardoin spent five seasons in MLB and thus far Silas has been able to learn a lot as to what it means to be a great catcher from his father.

Silas who is known to have soft hands behind the plate, also receives, frames and blocks the ball very well behind the plate. Known ot be one of the best defensive catchers out there, fans should keep an eye out on Silas and his career in baseball.

Game One between the Brooklyn Cyclones and Aberdeen IronBirds is set for 7:00 p.m. with the pitchers to be announced.
