Brooklyn Cyclones Wrapping up series in Winston-Salem

It has been an interesting road stretch for the Brooklyn Cyclones (3-5), as they are about to wrap things up against the Winston-Salem Dash (4-2).

The guys had three though losses as in the first game they saw a 5-3 decision, then a 12-7 nailbiter in Game 2, Brooklyn continued to keep things close with a 7-5 loss in Game three.

It was in the third game that the Cyclones were able to get the first victory as three-run homers by Alex Ramirez and Stanley Consuegra helped to lead the team to a 8-3 victory.

In the fourth game of the series the team saw a 6-4 loss thanks once against to Consuegra who had his third homer in the last four games.

Thus far Stanley has been hitting well, as during the series the outfielder is 8-for-20 (.400) with two doubles, three homers and 10 RBI.

Also having a hot bat for the Cyclones is fellow outfielder Ramirez, as he has a three-game hitting streak. Ramirez is 6-for-his-last 13 (.462) with four runs scored, that goes along with a double, a homer and five RBIs.

Things went back and forth between the Cyclones and the Dash, as Jalyen Palmer got Brooklyn the lead thanks to a three-run double in the Sixth Inning. Winston-Salem tied things up when D.J. Gladney hit a two-run shot, and was able to take the lead when Wes Kath laced a two-run homer in the frame.

This all sets the stage for the series finale on Sunday as the Cyclones look to get back to Brooklyn with the victory.
On the mound for the Cyclones is the Mets Top pitching Prospect in righty Blade Tidwell (0-1, 8.31 ERA) as he goes up against lefty Tommy Sommer.

It is going to be interesting to see how the Cyclones respond in the final game of the series, as they are so close to returning to the friendly confines of Maimonides Park.

All the action is set to start at 2:00 p.m. today from Truist Stadium in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. For those wanting to catch the action can do so on the MiLB.tv as well as the Brooklyn Cyclones Radio Network.
