For the kids looking to play basketball the right way, USA Basketball will have eight Gold Camps in four cities. For those in the 7th, 8th and 9th grade boys and girls they will have a wonderful opportunity to learn from the best.
This camp is great for those who have advanced-level basketball skills, those participants will get instruction from USA Basketball licensed coaches that follows curriculum that is set by 10-time USA Basketball gold medal winning Coach Don Showalter.
Anyone wanting to apply can do so, those eligible must have been enrolled in the 6th, 7th or 8th grades as of October 1, 2022. For more information on the 2023 Gold Camps, including application instructions are encouraged to visit the link below:
The first Gold Camp is set for the Memorial Day weekend at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School in Atlanta. The girl’s camp will be May 27-28 with the boys session to follow on May 28-29.
Up next will be the Gold Camps in Houston on June 16-17 (boys) and June 17-18 (girls) at Strake Jesuuit College Preparatory.
Steel City will be the next host for the Gold Camps on August 10-11 (girls) and August 12-13 (boys) at Mt. Lebanon High School.
The final stop will be on Labor Day in Omaha, Nebraska, as the boys will have a chance to participate on September 2-3 and girls participating on September 3-4 at the Omaha Sports Academy.
Founded in 2019, Gold Camps focus on fundamental skill development through station work, group drills and competition and leadership sessions.
