Eight in a row for Hofstra University as Pride down Drexel, 66-52

The Hofstra University Men’s Basketball (20-8, 13-2 CAA Conference) team is on a roll, as they have won eight in a row, as they were able to earn a 66-52 victory over Drexel (15-12, 9-6 CAA Conference) in Colonial Athletic Association action on Monday.

In addition to winning eight in a row, Hofstra University have now won 20 during the course of the season, and that is the 25th time in program history that Hofstra has won 20 or more games in a season. It is also the second consecutive season under Head Coach Speedy Claxton that Hofstra has been able to achieve the feat.

Another impressive note for the Pride is the fact that the eight-game win streak that they are on is tied for the 17th longest in program history, along with the longest since a similar streak during the 2019-20 campaign.

Leading the way in the victory was Aaron Estrada (22) and Darlinstone Dubar (16), along with the team having an additional 11 points and a team-best six rebounds from Tyler Thomas. Warren Williams had nine points, while Jaquan Carlos had five rebounds and five assists.

Hofstra University will look to continue their winning ways on Thursday, when they host Hampton at 7:00 p.m.
