Fordham University Khalid Moore named Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week

Since coming to Fordham University from Georgia Tech, Khalid Moore has been making an impact for the Rams. Most recently the Graduate Student has been named Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week for games played on January 23-29. Moore shares the honors with St. John’s star Lynn Greer III.


During that week Moore has been able to average 24.5 ppg and 6.0 rpg, as he has been able to shoot .762 (16-21) from the field and .800 (4-5) from behind the arc. Moore has been able to have a career-high 30 points, going 10-for-14 from the field and 3-for-4 from behind the arc, while grabbing eight rebounds and blocking some huge shots in the Rams 85-70 victory over George Washington on Saturday.


The Forward was able to start the week on a great note, having a team-high 19 points along with four rebounds in a 79-68 victory over St. Bonaventure. Moore was one of the leaders for Fordham, as the team has been able to stop an 11-game losing streak to the Bonnies.


Thus far Moore has been able to average 15.0 ppg, which ranks second on the team, along with leading the Rams with his 6.0 rpg. Thus far the forward has been able to record .495 (107-216) from the field, while ranking 13 in the conference in scoring and 16th in field goal percentage.


Fordham University has been on a roll as of late, surpassing their win total from last year, will return back to Rose Hill Gym on January 31, when they host the Saint Louis University in an Atlantic 10 contest. The start time between the two teams is 7:00 p.m.
