Fans of Women’s Basketball will get to see the best and brightest in action, as fifteen athletes will be a part of the team’s training camp that will be held in February. The Camp will feature 11 who have been able to claim a combined 26 Olympic (5-on-5 and 3×3) in addition to the Women’s World Cup (5-on-5) gold medals, that are all expected to be in attendance.
This years camp will be held at The Courts, which so also happens to be the home of the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx and the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves.
Expected to attend will include Ariel Atkins (Washington Mystics); Napheesa Collier (Minnesota Lynx); Kahleah Copper (Chicago Sky); Elena Delle Donne (Washington Mystics); Allisha Gray (Atlanta Dream); Sabrina Ionescu (New York Liberty); Betnijah Laney (New York Liberty); Angel McCoughtry (free agent); Kelsey Plum (Las Vegas Aces); Diana Taurasi (Phoenix Mercury); and Jackie Young (Las Vegas Aces).
In addition the training camp will also see Natasha Howard (Dallas Wings): Marina Mabery (Dallas Wings): Arike Ogunbowale (Dallas Wings) and Brianna Turner (Phoenis Mercury) all in action.
Helping to lead the team will be USA Women’s National Team Head Coach Cheryl Reeve (Minnesota Lynx) along with Curt Miller (Los Angeles Sparks), Mike Thibault (Washington Mystics) and James Wade (Chicago Sky).
The training camp will come several months after the US won their fourth consecutive FIBA Women’s World Cup gold medal last fall.
