New York Liberty fall to Defending Champs Sky 100-62

The New York Liberty got to see why the Chicago Sky are the defending Champs, as the ladies fell in the second game of the First Round of the 2022 WNBA Playoffs by a final of 100-62.

New York got away from what had gotten them to the dance to begin with. The team had gotten away from the team play, caused several turnovers and ultimately were not able to come together to defeat Chicago.

It was a tough shooting night for the Liberty, who went 33.3% from the field at Wintrust Arena, to go along with 15% from the three point arc.

1495 Sports is proud to bring the following New York Liberty Post Game Press Conference Video featuring thoughts form Head Coach Sandy Brondello along with Michaela Onyenwere and Han Xu (Translator Kevin Zhang)

There were two players who were able to find a bit of a rhythm on the offensive side of things for the Liberty as Xu and Onyenwere were both bright spots for the team.

Xu was able to finish the night with 10 points on 42.9% shooting from the field, to go along with five rebounds and a block. Onyenwere was able to add 10 points, two rebounds, as she was able to contribute some huge minutes from the bench.

It will be a win or go home game at the Barclays Center on August 23 with the game time set for 9:00 p.m.
