Tough result for D.C. United in 3-1 loss to Nashville

In a match that was filled with so many opportunities, ultimately D.C. United were unable to earn a victory over Nashville S.C. by a final of 3-1.

Audi Field was buzzing at the start of the match as the guys were able to get themselves some wonderful opportunities early on in the action.  It was the visiting side that was able to get on the board early thanks to Daniel Lovitz, who found the back of the cage at the six minute mark.

Hanky Mukhtar scored twice, once at the half and once again to start the Second Period and that made the score 3-0. Nashville did a tremendous job throughout the match playing keep away with the ball and not giving the host many chances to score throughout the evening.

It was around the 59th minute that Taxi Fountas was able to score, thanks to an assist by Nigel Robertha that was able to make the lead 3-1. Nashville and their stellar defense continued their fine play and were able to earn a 3-1 victory.
